Configuring Lyric

Before we install the Rundown Creator Chyron Lyric plugin, we need to configure Lyric.

Enable the Chyron Intelligent Interface

If you're using LyricX...

1. In Lyric, go to "Config" > "Automation Settings"

2. Right-click on "Lyric II Telnet" and click "Enable"

3. Right-click on "Lyric II Telnet" (again) and click "Enable on Startup"

If you're using Lyric or Lyric PRO...

1. In Lyric, go to "Config" > "Intelligent Interface"

2. Check the box that says "Enable Telnet"

Set the messages directory

When you install the Rundown Creator Chyron Lyric plugin, the installer will ask you where Lyric is configured to store messages. Changing this later requires uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin, so it's best to take a moment now to find out what the correct answer is.

If you're using LyricX...

You can view or change the messages directory by going to "Config" > "Preferences" > "Project Folder."

If you're using Lyric or Lyric PRO...

You can view or change the messages directory by going to "Config" > "Preferences" > "Default Paths."
